Trojan track sophomore Jonah Ross claims 100m & junior Randolph Ross claims the 400m title at the 2018 NCHSAA 4A State Championship Track Meet. Miss Ross posts 24.25 for 2nd in her 200m. Mr. Ross adds 2nd place finish in the high jump with 6-8 & 3rd in the 200m to earn MVP honors. His 4x100 relay team (Alexander Nunley, Ross, Prestige Bellamy and RJ Terry) earns runner-up with 41.85 & freshman Nunley claims 4th in the 110m hurdles with personal best 14.59 for the freshman. Indoor State Champion & Charlotte track commit Terry posts 10.90 in the fastest NCHSAA finals ever with six runners less than 11 seconds. Nunley records 42.17 in the 300m hurdles & the Lady Trojans 4x400 relay team posts 4:10.93 at the elite meet.
The siblings earn Garner 19th individual state championship. (Randolph won high Jump & 500m titles at the 2018 State Indoor championship to claim MVP honors). His three individual track championships trails only Trojan Hall of Fame inductee and current CFL All-Star Brandon Banks who claimed four titles in 2006
