Trojans win at Rolesville in final non-conference game

Jaydin Dixon 67-yard TD seals 31-20 win at Rolesville. Garner completes their non-conference schedule with their 4th straight win over the Rams. NaDarius Thompson hit causes fumble, returned by Laytavion Haywood for 14 yards TD & Nolan McLean 25-yard TD strike to Donovan Evans puts the Trojans (2-4) up 13-7. Ralph Vieux 19-yard reverse TD gives the good guys 19-7 halftime lead. Dixon touchdown runs of 5 & 67 completes the scoring to send Garner into their off-week with the win. The Trojan pass rush is dominant again though incurring 115 penalties yards. Four takeaways and piled up 7 sacks and 15 tackles for loss. Daiveon Carrington with interception and 9 stops with two sacks & Thompson (8 tackles & sack) control the offensive line with with Haywood recording 10 stops and 3 sacks. The Rams record 115 of their 287 on three scoring plays. The unranked Trojans are off this week, return to open their SWAC schedule at home vs Apex Friendship Oct. 5th
